Lakeway 3 - Most Depressing Gym Ever

I have now been going to your gym in Lakeway 3 in Metairie, LA for almost 8 years.  I have to say it is the most depressing, impersonal, bordering on rude group of people running the gym that I have ever encountered.  It is clear NO ONE, even down to the girl that cleans the gym is happy to work there.  The girl at the front desk either doesn't say hello or you get a forced hello if you say it first.  Whenever a machine breaks it is never fixed, ever.  I have seen broken machines sit on the floor for years saying "Being attended to by staff and will be fixed on _______ (date)".  The staff doesn't even bother filling in a date anymore b/c they know it will never get fixed.  The upstairs room floor where classes are held is disgusting. A grand build up of hair and dirt have layered the floor for a couple months now.  There were all kind of small nick knacks added over the past year or so that added character and warmth.  All of those have virtually disappeared in the last few weeks. A friend of mine went to the gym at 6:00am yesterday and said the new manager was laying with her head on her desk.  What a great example for the staff that already doesn't give a crap.  Anyone that goes to that gym knows that the problem stems from upper management/President of the company - Mike maybe his name is (or should I say YOU if you are reading this).  Wake up.  If you hate the place, the company, your life so much, stop managing the gym.  You are doing it no favors!  Hand it over to a company and people who care.  The gym is supposed to be a place people go for positive reaction/interaction and it's gotten to the point that myself and many others can't even stand to walk past the front counter it's so cold!  Only person there that is nice is Mike, the trainer.  The gyms only saving grace at this point!
